Saxophonist, composer, arranger.
Gilbert DALL' ANESE was born in the Southwest of France (Lot-et-Garonne).

He studied music in the Music Academy of Bordeaux, where he won a first prize, and then to the National Music Academy of Paris he quickly reached the professional level.

He began his career in the major orchestras in Paris in the 1950s and started the OLYMPIA in Paris in the large orchestra (20 musicians) from 1959 to 1963, where he accompanies Edith PIAF, Jacques BREL, Marlene DIETRICH...

With his insatiable experiment he discovered various musical styles, Jazz Big Bands, Rock Groups, Rhythm and Blues . He plays with Cubans the first Bossa Nova, and instability and eclecticism are many enhancements for him, the French, forced to adapt to new products from elsewhere. He is passionate about Jazz he studied and practiced occasionally.

He shote in the film by Marcel CARNE " LES JEUNES LOUPS ", he participated in the recording of the music of Charlie CHAPLIN film " THE COUNTESS FROM HONG KONG " in the recording studio FERBER . It is the only french musician playing a Jam Session with Louis ARMSTRONG at " VILLA d'ESTE " in Paris.

In 1976 he participated with the team of Johnny HALLYDAY to the soundtrack of the famous serial " DALLAS ".

In the 80s he participated in the recording of three albums for Daniel GOYONE with TRILOK GURTU, André CECCARELLI, Thiérry ELIES and Richard GALLIANO.

From 1986 to 1988 he was engaged in the French Orchestre National de Jazz (ONJ) with Antoine HERVE . He has the pleasure of playing in concerts and recording with Jazz musicians the most prestigious in the world, such as Toots TIELEMANS, Peter ERSKINE, Randy BREACKER, Steeve SWALOW, Carla BLEY, Gil EVANS, Didier LOCKWOOD, Dee Dee BRIDGEWATER.

In 1988 he recorded (Soprano Sax Solo) with Eric SERRA, the credit music + 2 music from the film " LE GRAND BLEU " by Luc BESSON. Then he recorded the music for " NIKITA "

Occasionally he teaches Jazz in Schools : CIM in Paris, IMFP in Nimes and CIAM in Bordeaux.
