Gérard Gésina
Drummer, composer, arranger.
Born in Algiers, in a family of musicians, he began studying piano and
percussion at the Academy of Music and then works drums with Dante
AGOSTINI and Kenny CLARKE.
He accompanies many entertainers including Annie CORDY, for whom he
also wrote "VIENS PRENDRE UN VERRE" will be the B-side
of "LA BONNE DU CURE".
He also composes with Johny RECH a music for Georges ZAMFIR
"ODYSSEY 81" that will be recorded with the "LONDON
SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA".
He will then, for nearly 30 years, drummer Juliette GRECO, with
whom he toured worldwide.
At the same time, he participated in the recording sessions and musicals
("HELLO DOLLY", "LA VIE PARISIENNE", "LE COMTE DE
MONTE CRISTO") with different famous conductors including François RAUBER
(arranger Jacques BREL), Armand MIGIANI and Michel LEGRAND .
He will then move to the music composition and sound design and
background music, and composed several credit music TV including
"7 sur 7" (presented for 15 years by Anne SINCLAIR on TF1),
"TELE FOOT", "AUTO MOTO", "SPORT DIMANCHE",
"ROLAND GARROS", and music for Advertising: "SAINT HUBERT",
"MAISON VERTE", "CONTINENTAL AIRLINES", "BRANDT",
"KNORR", "SAVEOL", "FERRERO", "foie Gras BIZAC", "5 à SEC",
"ALINEA", etc...)
